Air Astana is the only airline in Kazakhstan to maintain its fleet to audited EU EASA 145 standards. In 2008 it was admitted to the register of the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) – one of the few airlines in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) to have achieved this.
Today the Air Astana fleet consists of Boeing 767, Boeing 757, Airbus A319, Airbus A320, Airbus A321 and Embraer 190 aircraft. Air Astana currently operates a total of 26 aircraft and has plans to increase its fleet size to a total of 33 aircraft by the end of 2016. They currently have 11 A321neo aircraft on order which be delivered throughout 2016 and 2017. Air Astana’s selection of the A321neo gives Airbus its first customer for the type in central Asia.
Air Astana operate close to 50 domestic and international routes. Its passengers are served by 3,000 highly-qualified staff, the majority of whom are from Kazakhstan, supplemented by experienced foreign personnel.
